New art will take shape at Nyhamnen’s ferry terminal
Joar Nango and Eystein Talleraas have received a lovely commission bringing local stories together with new ideas.
The ferry terminal in Nyhamnen is set to receive a permanent artwork. Malmö City has awarded the commission to artists and architects Joar Nango and Eystein Talleraas. They want to work with materials already found there, bringing the harbour’s history together with nature and Sámi knowledge. The artists also want to invite Malmö residents to take part in the process. The artwork is not yet in place, but the commission is a new step towards more art for people to enjoy together in the city.
