Malmö museum becomes full member of EAZA
The membership recognises the Aquarium's work and opens up international cooperation on animal welfare and species conservation.
Malmö museum has become a full member of EAZA, the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, after an application process lasting just over a year. The decision was made at EAZA's annual conference in Paris. "The membership is a quality mark for our work," says Jesper Flygare, head of the Aquarium at Malmö museum. The museum gains access to a large international network for knowledge exchange and cooperation on species conservation, and can now acquire threatened species such as Titicaca frogs, which require EAZA membership.
