Reading buddies read aloud with Malmö schoolchildren
Pensioners and upper-secondary students become reading role models for young pupils.
With the new Läskompis project, trained volunteers meet pupils in years 1–3 in small groups after school. They read aloud and talk about the stories, sparking curiosity and a love of reading. In the first term, 60 pupils in Malmö and Ängelholm took part. Pensioners and upper-secondary students act as reading role models, creating lovely meetings between generations.
