New art museum in Kungsparken takes its next step
An architecture competition will bring ideas for an open and accessible museum.
In June, Malmö City announced an architecture competition planned to begin after the summer. The yellow pavilion in Kungsparken is to be combined with a new building, giving the city’s art collection more space. A winning proposal is expected in summer 2027; the museum remains in the planning stage.
